Abstract

This article presents a scientific analysis of the functions, structural design, and classification of vehicle tires. Tires are the only components that provide direct contact between a vehicle and the road surface, significantly affecting driving safety, stability, braking performance, and fuel efficiency. The paper discusses the main functions of tires, their structural components, and their classification according to operating conditions. The characteristics and applications of summer, winter, all-season, radial, and bias-ply tires are also analyzed. The findings contribute to improving road safety and selecting appropriate tires for different operating conditions.
