Rastraropsha (Silybum marianum) is an annual plant that is widely used as a medicinal plant and has many beneficial properties.This study aims to study the possibilities of rastaropsha cultivation in the conditions of Karakalpakstan. The climate of the region, soil characteristics and agrotechnical conditions are important factors for the successful cultivation of this plant. In the study, the biological characteristics of rastaropsha, cultivation technologies, pest control methods and crop processing processes are analyzed in detail. Due to the climatic conditions of Karakalpakstan, especially drought tolerance, it is considered favorable for planting this plant. Also, the importance of rastaropsha seeds as a source of high-quality medicinal substances is emphasized. The results of this research serve to accelerate the cultivation of rastaropsha in Karakalpakstan, create new jobs for the local population, and diversify the production of medicinal plants. As a result, it is expected to play an important role in strengthening the economy of the region and improving the health of the population
