The Great Silk Road has connected East and West since ancient times,
serving as one of the most important trade and cultural routes, with the territory of
Uzbekistan occupying a central position. This article examines the history of the Silk
Road‘s formation, its impact on the trade and cultural life of Uzbek cities, and its role in
the spread of science, religions, and art. The paper also analyzes the economic, political,
and diplomatic significance of the Great Silk Road, as well as the factors that led to its
decline. The topic remains relevant today due to its importance in preserving cultural
heritage and promoting tourism.
