Abstract

This article analyzes the mechanisms of popularizing economic
knowledge based on the book “Naked Economics” by Charles Wheelan. The study
examines key topics presented in the book, including market mechanisms, incentive
theory, antitrust policy, the role of government in the economy, and the impact of
international trade on economic development. Using content analysis and logical
comparison methods, the author‟s educational approach was evaluated.
The results indicate that explaining economic concepts through real-life examples is
highly effective in developing economic thinking among learners. The book simplifies
complex economic theories and makes them accessible to a broad audience. The study
concludes that “Naked Economics” serves as an effective educational and popular science
resource for improving economic literacy.
