Abstract

This study examines the sustainable governance of ecotourism resources in the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of global best practices and national institutional development. The research synthesizes international ecotourism governance  literature, compares key models from the European Union, Canada, and Southeast Asia, and proposes a multidimensional governance model tailored to Uzbekistan‘s socio ecological context. A SWOT analysis identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the current national governance system. Results indicate that institutional coherence, ecological monitoring, community participation, and green financing are critical to sustainable ecotourism governance. The proposed framework offers a strategic pathway for long-term sustainable tourism policy and resource management.
