Abstract

This article discusses external memory devices and input/output (I/O) devices, which are among the key components of modern computer systems. The functions, structure, and types of external memory devices are described, with particular emphasis on their role in long-term data storage, technological characteristics, and advantages. In addition, the importance of input and output devices in facilitating interaction between the user and the computer, as well as their modern forms and areas of application, are examined.
