This article analyzes the scientific and pedagogical importance of economic education in the process of high-quality preparation of preschool children for school education. The theoretical foundations of the formation of economic thinking, thrift, hard work and rational use of resources in children are highlighted. Also, methodological aspects of the effective organization of economic education in preschool educational institutions are considered.
