Abstract

This article discusses the pathogenesis of anthrax, immune response mechanisms, and modern treatment approaches. The causative agent Bacillus anthracis enters the body through the skin, respiratory tract, or gastrointestinal system, producing potent toxins that lead to severe intoxication and tissue necrosis. The immune response is mainly characterized by phagocytosis and the production of antitoxin antibodies. Antibiotic therapy and preventive strategies are also reviewed.
