Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of globalization on language systems and the "monopolistic" position of the English language in global science. The dominance of English as a language of scientific communication, the weight of publications in this language in international scientific databases (Scopus, Web of Science), and the impact of this phenomenon on the development of science in national languages are explored. The research provides a scientific substantiation of the socio-pedagogical problems associated with the fact that English proficiency is becoming a key criterion for scientific success.
