Abstract

This article explores the psychological determination of female characters in the stories of Alice Munro, a prominent figure in the modern short story genre and Nobel Prize laureate. The study analyzes the methods of expressing lyrical pathos, changes in the inner world of characters, and the potential of retrospective imagery in the writer's work. The research scientifically substantiates Munro's skill in revealing complex layers of human psychology within the framework of the short story genre.
