In the locomotive manufacturing industry, one of the most crucial stages in the operation of traction electric machines is the testing process. During this process, any existing deficiencies and malfunctions in the traction electric machines are identified, and measures are taken to rectify them. For this reason, testing is divided into several types and methods. One of these is the process of testing traction electric machines using the mutual load method. This article will examine the operating principle of this method, its schematic diagram, and its specific features during the testing process. Additionally, the advantages and disadvantages of testing via the mutual load method will be analyzed in detail.
