This article provides a theoretical and empirical analysis of the concepts of gender and human security, as well as their interrelationship. In addition, the significance of these two concepts in the modern system of international relations is comprehensively examined. The article argues that the paradigm of human security cannot be considered complete without incorporating the gender dimension and highlights that women are among the key factors in ensuring sustainable development. A comparative analysis is conducted of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, Sustainable Development Goal 5 “Gender Equality” and Goal 16 “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” as well as the gender policy of Uzbekistan.
