This article analyzes, from theoretical and practical perspectives, the opportunities for effective utilization of the regional economic potential in ensuring sustainable development of the national economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study examines the essence, structural elements, and assessment methodology of regional economic potential. A comparative analysis of economic development indicators across Uzbekistan's regions is conducted, and the main factors of regional disparities are identified. Evidence-based recommendations are developed regarding enhancing regional competitiveness, improving the investment climate, and implementing a cluster approach.
