Abstract

This article provides a systematic analysis of epic-singing schools, which form the core of Uzbek folk oral creativity. The study examines the formative factors, performance styles, repertoire richness, and linguistic characteristics of the Bulungur, Kurgan, Sherabad, and Khorezm epic schools. Furthermore, the article scientifically substantiates the artistic mastery of bakhshis, the art of improvisation, and the role of the "master-apprentice" tradition in ensuring the stability and continuity of epic texts.
