This article explores the pedagogical and psychological significance of play activities in the development of creativity in children. The essence of the concept of creativity and its role in preschool children‘s development are scientifically substantiated. Play activity is analyzed as a leading form of activity that promotes creative thinking, imagination, independence, and unconventional problem-solving skills. The article also provides effective methods and methodological recommendations for developing creativity in preschool children through play.
