Abstract

A large amount of waste sulfuric acid generated from the caustic soda and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) production workshops at "NAVOIYAZOT" JSC leads to excessive costs in the production process. Due to changes in the chemical properties of this acid, it cannot be directly reused. In order to protect the environment, recycle the waste, and obtain industrially valuable sodium sulfite (Na₂SO₃), a neutralization method using NaOH was studied. The physicochemical properties o f the product (pH, density, viscosity) were determined experimentally at various concentrations and temperatures, and its thermal stability was analyzed by TGA/DTA. Implementation of this technology is an important task not only for "NAVOIYAZOT" JSC, but f or all waste - generating enterprises across the Republic.
