This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of the integrative approach to teaching literary genres in upper secondary school literature classes. Through interdisciplinary integration, the essence of literary genres is deeply comprehended, and conditions are created for the development of students’ independent and critical thinking skills. At the same time, the effectiveness of integrative lessons organized in literature classes through connections with history, art, and linguistics is demonstrated.
