This article analyzes the urbanization processes that took place in the Namangan region in 2000-2016 and their impact on the cultural standard of living of the population based on historical and statistical sources. During the study, it was revealed that urbanization processes have accelerated as a result of population growth, an increase in the share of cities, and the development of industry and services in the region. It also highlights changes in the activities of cultural and recreational parks, cultural centers, libraries, and other cultural institutions, as well as their role in satisfying the cultural needs of the population. The results of the study show that urbanization processes have had a positive impact on the socio-cultural development of the region, while some differences between urban and rural areas remain. The article scientifically substantiates the interrelationship between urbanization and cultural development, and puts forward relevant conclusions and proposals for the sustainable development of the region.
