Abstract

This article thoroughly analyzes the practical possibilities of utilizing modern interactive and digital tools in teaching the subject "Media and Information Literacy" within the professional and higher education systems. It highlights methodology for developing students' critical thinking skills in the context of information security, fake news detection, fact-checking, visual data analysis, and generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The paper provides a review of international and national literature, relevant in-text citations, practical case studies, a classification of interactive tools, as well as proposed pedagogical diagnostics and assessment criteria aligned with the ISO 21001:2018 standard.
