The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the issues of increasing
competitiveness and service quality in tourism enterprises. It is substantiated that in the
conditions of increasing competition in the tourism market, service quality is one of the
key factors ensuring the sustainable development of enterprises. The concept of service
quality, criteria for its assessment, main directions for improving competitiveness, as well
as the role of modern management and marketing approaches are analyzed. The state
policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of tourism development and its impact on
tourism enterprises is also considered.
