This dissertation presents a comprehensive and detailed analysis of arterial hypertension from a modern biomedical and psychophysiological perspective. The study thoroughly examines etiological factors, pathophysiological mechanisms, and clinical manifestations, with particular emphasis on neurohumoral systems such as the reninangiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), the sympathetic nervous system, and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis.
According to WHO (2023), more than 30% of the global population suffers from hypertension, making it a major public health concern. Statistical analysis within this study demonstrates that chronic stress, anxiety, and depressive conditions significantly increase the risk of hypertension. Furthermore, psychological interventions such as cognitivebehavioral therapy and relaxation techniques have been shown to effectively reduce blood pressure levels. The findings support the superiority of a biopsychosocial model in the management of arterial hypertension.
