The article examines the problem of language interference between Uzbek and Russian in the speech of bilingual speakers. Typical phonetic, lexical, grammatical, and syntactic errors resulting from cross-linguistic influence are analyzed. Special attention is given to the causes of persistent interference phenomena, which are associated with typological differences between the languages and the characteristics of bilingual cognition. Based on the analysis of concrete speech examples, effective ways of overcoming interference errors in educational practice are identified. The findings of the study can be applied in teaching Russian in a bilingual environment and in developing educational and methodological materials.
